JOB SUMMARY
Job Purpose:TheSenior Claims Assistant will be responsible for the end-to-end handling andprocessing of all motor, non-motor, marine, and other insurance claims. Thisrole ensures timely and accurate documentation, follow-up, system updates, andclosure of claims files in line with company procedures and insurance industrystandards.Qualifications and Skills:1. A diploma or Degree in Insurance, BusinessAdministration, or a related field.2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in aninsurance claims environment.3. Strong understanding of motor, non-motor, andmarine insurance claims processes.4. Excellent organizational and record-keepingskills.5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.6. Proficiency in MS Office and insurance claimsmanagement systems.7. High attention to detail and ability to workunder minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Claims Registration:· Documentation Follow-up:· Claims Documentation Review:· Claim Analysis:· Communication with Insurance Companies:o Follow up withinsurers for claim status updates and responses.o Obtain repairauthorities and release letters for motor claims where applicable.o Coordinate withappointed assessors for non-motor claims to ensure timely submission ofreports.· Discharge Vouchers:o Follow up withinsurers for the issuance of discharge vouchers and confirm their accuracy.o Coordinate withinsured clients to sign the discharge vouchers in a timely manner.· System Management:o Update all claimrecords in the internal system to ensure easy tracking and reference.o Close claims files inthe system upon completion of the claim process.· File Management:o File all closed claimsappropriately.o Retrieve archivedfiles when required for reference or audits.· Payments Follow-up: Follow up with insurance companies to ensure prompt settlement of claims once discharge vouchers are signed· Other Duties: Perform any other duties or tasks as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
